Ever wonder when is the perfect time to propose? Well, if you’re like most people, it’s between November and February. In fact, nearly 40 percent of engagements occur between November and February. The holiday season is the perfect time for many engagements, given that many couples have time off work and travel home to visit their families. It’s also in part to festive decorations, champagne and sparkly lights everywhere.
If it seems like all of your Facebook friends got engaged during December, you are not crazy.  They most likely did.  According to data released by Facebook, Christmas Eve is the most popular day to get engaged, followed by Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  Facebook gathered its data from more that 2.5 million users to uncover some of the patterns associated with modern engagements. The site also found that one-third of people got engaged between November and December, and the average age of newly-engaged couples is 24.
Another popular proposal day is Valentine’s Day. In fact the Diamond Information Center says that almost 10 percent of wedding proposals will happen on Valentine’s Day. If you feel you missed out on all the engagement season action, never fear. After engagement season, the most popular day to propose is the (soon-to-be) bride’s birthday.
If you are newly engaged, here’s a statistic for you: 76 percent of weddings occur during the summer and autumn months. Now is the time to start planning your perfect wedding!
