WHAT IS A MASTER JEWELER?
One of the highest certifications is to be a JA Certified Master Bench Jeweler – a Master Jeweler. This certification requires four levels of testing which includes a Master Jeweler exam that requires the candidate to create three highly-complex jewelry pieces. These take 40 hours to complete and accompany an extensive written text demonstrating gem treatments, safety issues, and technical knowledge.
CONFLICT FREE
DIAMONDS
Business and ethics are not separate. This is why we are committed to sourcing Conflict Free diamonds. Putting people before profits IS good business.
High-quality diamonds should not come at great social and environmental cost. We are also committed to the adoption of Fair Trade, helping the workers and their families create a better life for themselves. We source diamonds from mines that adhere to strict labor, trade, and environmental standards.
THE TALENT WHO BRINGS OUR BRAND TO LIFE.
Master Jewelers are made up of people who are “masters” in their own right. It is because of them, we have been able to serve our clients with passion and artistry.

Michael Neylon – President and Master Craftsman
Born and raised on the Southside of Indianapolis, Mike attended Roncalli High School. He planned to attend Ball State University, but happened upon the jewelry industry by chance and instantly fell in love. He began a Master Craftsman apprenticeship with DDI in 1984, during which he won many awards in custom design, model-making, and stone setting. Shortly thereafter he began a wholesale business performing repairs and custom work for many of the jewelers in Central Indiana. He has been serving the retail jewelry customers of central Indiana since 1990 and still enjoys working on the bench, transforming client’s jewelry dreams into reality. In his spare time, Mike enjoys anything to do with racing, the Colts, or the Pacers, and spending time down on his property outside of Bloomington.

Patrick G. – Master Craftsman
Patrick has been in the jewelry business for over 20 years, 18 of which have been right here at Master Jewelers. In this time, he has performed jewelry repair, reconstruction, and creation for the majority of the retail jewelers in the greater Indianapolis area. Patrick also enjoys high-end watches and the mechanical intricacies that they contain.
His passions outside of work include writing, producing, and playing music, as well as spending time with his daughter.

Don W. – Jewelry Expert
Don began making his mark on the jewelry industry way back in 1959. Prior to becoming a salesman, he spent 35 years working as a craftsman and has many amazing works on his resume, including hand engraving a silver medallion for Pope John Paul II.
Don loves to share his vast knowledge of jewelry and jokes that one of his hobbies is pestering the rest of us here at Masters.

Christine G. – Jewelry Expert
With a degree in creative writing from Ball State, not only does Christine add an extra dimension to our social media and marketing, but she also enjoys conjuring up creative ways for clients to express their emotions and personalities in custom jewelry. Outside of work, Christine enjoys hunting for discarded treasures, crafting, and spending time with her family.
Millissa recently made a return to her passion in the jewelry industry after owning and operating two successful businesses. Millissa brings a vast knowledge of both jewelry and business to our team. Utilizing both her degree in Business Management from Vincennes University and her Diamond and Pearl Certifications from GIA. With over 15 years in jewelry experience, Millissa combines her love of family, faith, and jewelry into creating, restoring, and designing family heirlooms meant to carry on memories from the past to the generations of the future.
Brock L.– Master Craftsman
Brock began his jewelry journey in Seattle, WA, stopping along the way in New Mexico, before ultimately settling back in Indianapolis where he calls home. He enjoys creating unique, bold designs and always has great ideas on how to spruce up a style with an extra touch of originality. Brock has many interests outside of Masters, including eating spicy foods, working on his motorcycle, and playing the drums.
Mark H.– Craftsman
In addition to performing jewelry repairs, Mark provides the logistics for our shop, making sure that each and every item is exactly right. His skill and attention to detail allow Mark to always hit the mark in every job he completes. Outside of work, Mark also enjoys music, acting as a DJ for events and working sound for several local bands.
